Location
Rozelle, Inner West, Sydney
Our Solution:
We delivered an end-to-end restoration with remarkable speed and precision. The plan involved significant structural work, including the logistical coordination of a crane to lift and place new structural posts, each weighing over 100kg. Our team meticulously planned every phase, sourced authentic heritage-approved supplies, and executed the full build from demolition to final touches in a single week—a timeframe that minimised inconvenience without compromising on the exceptional quality required.
project goals
Heavy Structural Installation & Precision Lifting: The restoration involved craning in new structural posts weighing over 100kg. To ensure perfect alignment and fitting within the heritage structure, we hired a specialised material lift (Genie lift) specifically for the micro-adjustments and exact placement of these heavy elements.
Complex Site & Safety Management: We successfully implemented a detailed plan for traffic control and adhered to very strict safety restrictions, ensuring a safe site during all operations, including the crane lift over a public footpath.
Heritage Restoration Expertise: We meticulously reconstructed the balcony to be in perfect keeping with the beautiful heritage character of the Rozelle area, respecting every architectural detail.
End-to-End Construction: Our in-house team handled the entire process: safe demolition, intricate structural framing, new decking, and a historically sympathetic roofing structure.
Unmatched Efficiency: The entire 30-metre balcony, including its heavy structural components, was demolished and rebuilt from scratch in an incredible one-week timeframe.
The Outcome:
A structurally sound and stunningly authentic heritage balcony that enhances both the property and the streetscape. This project showcases our ability to deliver highly complex, logistically challenging heritage restorations involving heavy machinery and precision fitting, all with unmatched efficiency and skill
